Think outside the box and mix it up, and you can make magic with any camera, especially GoPro MAX.

I think it shows that if you’re willing to question the definition of the "right" camera for the job, you'd be amazed at how creative you can be. It not only ended up being fun, but the shots came out phenomenal and unlike anything I'm used to seeing in my portfolio. I have been to the Botanic Garden dozens of times, and this shoot is the first instance where I found myself dancing in it-that should tell you something. I think the sign of a successful shoot is when you can get comfortable in front of the camera, and lose some of your inhibitions-going smaller feels less intimidating, and truly allows your personality to come through. I could quickly move myself and the rig around without worry and just focus on shooting. The small size also made the shoot flow much easier in general. It was perfect for being in a tight space like the Botanic Garden-not having a huge camera and tripod to worry about people tripping over was a relief. I quickly fell in love with the small size and how it's not fussy to shoot with. Second, MAX is so discrete, even when positioned on the MAX Grip set up as tripod. Plus, MAX only has one focal length, so it really forced me to be more creative on the spot. For one, the field of view on MAX is ultrawide-even when in the second-to-widest digital lens "wide." Max SuperView is the widest, and it's crazy how much of the environment appears in the shot. The unique, low-profile set up is not something I’m used to for shooting fashion.

So for just around $100 you could have a full face of makeup, which honestly is a really good price. My picks to get you started (listed below) would run you about $120 if purchased individually, you could knock off another $15 if purchasing a few items together (they offer sets) and another 10% off that using my code below. Overall, I'd say Glossier is between drug store and premier (Urban Decay, Too Faced, etc.) pricing. I photographed the sunscreen with these products as I do use it daily, but I will save that and the jelly cleanser for a Glossier skincare post separately as this is already going to be a novel of sorts in length. A month later purchased the blush, a mask, and sunscreen, with 2 more orders going in for more lidstar colors, another balm, the highlighter, a lipstick and lipgloss. I'll go into each below, with details and reviews. My first Glossier purchase was an order of two lidstars (eyeshadow) in Cub and Fawn, Boy Brow, Jelly Cleanser, Rose Balm Dot Com, and a Glossier sweatshirt. Don't get me wrong, I also love full coverage makeup and eye palettes, and liners, and bronzers, and the list goes on.but I wanted something simple, something I could grab everyday and apply in 10 mins or less and be happy with. Consider the speed of the user’s mouse or cursor over the product listing before changing or altering the content: a slower speed or stopped cursor indicates intent to look closer at the product, while moving quickly over a product listing indicates the user was simply moving the mouse across the page and should not trigger the rollover effect. What I was attracted to was a low-maintenance, easy to apply, natural looking makeup line, perfect for every day. I can't remember where or through whom I first heard of it, but I remember watching a bunch of British vloggers doing first impressions which inspired me to jump on the Glossier train. There's a reason though- it's just that good. If you follow me on instagram, you're probably sick of hearing me talk about Glossier, I get it.
